The BBQ Republic Promise
The Gravity Series 600 is Masterbuilt's entry point into gravity-fed charcoal cooking. Load the GravityFed hopper, set your temperature, and the DigitalFan system holds it automatically across the full range from 107°C to 371°C. Serious charcoal performance in a compact footprint, with up to 18 hours of burn time and full app control. Free delivery and installation across Sydney from BBQ Republic, authorised Masterbuilt dealer.
Three Steps to Start Cooking
The Gravity Series 600 removes the two main frustrations of charcoal cooking: managing airflow manually and reloading fuel mid-cook. Load once, set your temperature, and cook without interruption.
Load the hopper
Fill the GravityFed hopper with lump charcoal or briquettes. The 600 holds up to 5.4 kg of lump charcoal or 8.2 kg of briquettes and feeds fuel to the firebox continuously as it burns.
Light and set your temperature
Insert a pure paraffin fire starter for a clean, chemical-free ignition. Set your target temperature on the digital panel or the Masterbuilt app. The 600 reaches 107°C in approximately 7.5 minutes and 371°C in approximately 10 minutes.
Cook without babysitting
The DigitalFan adjusts airflow automatically to hold your set temperature. No vent adjustment. No reloading mid-cook. Monitor up to 4 meat probes via the app from anywhere in the house.
More Than Enough for Regular Cooking
With 600 square inches of total cooking space across the main grate and one porcelain-coated warming rack, the 600 handles serious family cooks without compromise.

What Makes the 600 Work
GravityFed Charcoal Hopper
Holds up to 5.4 kg of lump charcoal or 8.2 kg of briquettes. As charcoal burns from the bottom, gravity feeds fresh fuel down from the hopper above. Up to 18 hours of cooking without reloading.
DigitalFan Temperature Control
A digitally controlled fan manages airflow from the hopper through to the cooking chamber. Set your temperature and the system maintains it automatically across the full 107°C to 371°C range.
Reversible Cast Iron Smoke and Sear Grates
One side optimised for high-heat searing, the other for low-and-slow where moisture retention matters. Cast iron holds and radiates heat evenly for consistent results across the full cooking surface.
FuelSaver Dual-Wall Insulation
Dual-wall construction with porcelain-coated interior retains heat, smoke, and moisture inside the cooking chamber. Uses charcoal more efficiently and produces more consistent results across long cooks.
Masterbuilt App Control
Wi-Fi connected. Set temperature, adjust cook time, monitor up to 4 meat probes simultaneously, receive alerts, and access recipes from your phone. Manage the entire cook from inside the house.
Porcelain-Coated Warming Rack
Sits above the main grate for holding cooked food at temperature, running indirect cooks, or staging items during a larger cook.
Easy Cleanup
Front-access removable grease tray below the cooking chamber. Removable ash bucket collects ash from the firebox. Both remove and empty quickly after the cook.
Gravity Series 600 vs 1150
Both models use the same GravityFed hopper system, cover the same temperature range, and include app control. The difference is cooking space and who you are cooking for.
