What is the difference between Traeger models?
We currently stock four models. The Pro 575 and Pro 780 share the same D2 Direct Drive controller and brushless drivetrain, with 575 and 780 square inches of cooking space respectively. The Woodridge Pro steps up to 970 square inches and adds Super Smoke Mode, an EZ-Clean ash keg, and a pellet level sensor. The Ironwood XL is the flagship at 924 square inches, with Dual-Wall insulation, Smart Combustion, a touchscreen controller, and two built-in meat probes. Does Traeger come with a warranty?
Yes. Every Traeger we sell comes with the full 3-year manufacturer warranty. Your warranty is only valid through official dealers like BBQ Republic and is supported through the correct factory channel. Buying from an unauthorised source or grey-market importer risks voiding your warranty entirely.
What can you cook on a Traeger?
A wide range. Smoke brisket, ribs, and pork shoulder low and slow. Grill steaks and burgers at higher heat. Bake pizza, bread, and desserts using real wood-fired smoke flavour. Roast whole chickens and legs of lamb. The WiFIRE app monitors and adjusts temperature from your phone through the whole cook, so you are not stuck babysitting the grill.
How long does a Traeger last?
Many years with proper care. Keeping the firepot and auger clean between cooks, using a fitted cover when the grill is not in use, and storing pellets somewhere dry are the main things that affect lifespan. Can I use a Traeger in winter or in the rain?
Yes, but weather affects a pellet grill differently to a ceramic cooker. Cold weather means the grill works harder to hold temperature and burns through pellets faster, and the Ironwood XL's Dual-Wall insulation helps here. Rain and humidity are the bigger concern: keep the hopper lid closed, store pellets in a sealed container between cooks, and use a fitted cover when the grill is not in use to protect the electronics and hopper.
What Traeger should I buy as my first grill?
For most first-time buyers we recommend the Pro 575 or Pro 780. Both run the same D2 Direct Drive controller and WiFIRE app as the higher models, so you get the full smart-grill experience without paying for features like Super Smoke Mode or a touchscreen you may not need yet.
