Charcoal, Rubs & Smoking Wood.
Chosen by People Who Actually Cook.
BBQ Republic stocks natural lump charcoal, hardwood pellets, smoking wood, and BBQ rubs chosen by people who actually cook on this equipment. We have been cooking on BBQs since 2014 and every product on this page has earned its place. On display at our Wetherill Park showroom.
Rubs
Dry rubs and seasonings for beef, pork, chicken and lamb. Made for BBQ, kamado, and smoker cooking.
Natural Lump Charcoal
The fuel of choice for Big Green Egg and kamado grills. Burns hotter, cleaner, and longer than briquettes.
Pellets
Hardwood BBQ pellets for pellet smokers and grills. Consistent burn with real wood smoke flavour.
Wood Chips & Wood Chunks
Smoking wood for adding flavour to any BBQ or smoker. Hickory, apple, cherry, pecan and more.
Which Fuel for Which Cooker
Kamado and Charcoal BBQ
Natural lump charcoal is the right choice for any kamado or charcoal-style BBQ. We stock two options: Argie Grillz Argentine Lump Charcoal and Big Green Egg Natural Lump Charcoal in Oak and Hickory or Canadian Maple. Both burn clean, burn hot, and work across any kamado or charcoal cooker. Argie Grillz is our most popular seller and burns long with very little ash, making it well suited to extended low and slow cooks as well as high heat grilling.
Pellet Smoker
If you are cooking on a pellet smoker, you need hardwood BBQ pellets, not lump charcoal. We stock BBQr's Delight pellets across a range of wood species. The wood you choose determines the smoke flavour in your cook. Hickory and mesquite are bolder and suit beef and pork. Apple and cherry are milder and work well with chicken, fish, and pork.
Adding Smoke to Any Cooker
Wood chips and wood chunks work across both charcoal and gas cookers. On a charcoal BBQ or smoker, add them directly to the coals. On a gas grill, place them in a smoker box. The wood species determines the smoke flavour: hickory for bold, apple for subtle, pecan for something in between.
Rubs and Seasonings
The Misty Gully range covers a wide variety of flavour profiles suited to different proteins and cooking styles. Some are built for beef, others for pork, chicken, or lamb. Browse the full range and check each product for its recommended use.
The Brands We Stock and Why
We have been cooking on BBQs since 2014. Every brand on this page is here because it performs.
An Australian brand making BBQ seasonings and rubs with genuine flavour depth. We stock Misty Gully because supporting local matters to us, and because their products actually deliver. The range covers a wide variety of flavour profiles across beef, pork, chicken, and lamb.
Argentine lump charcoal made from Quebracho Blanco, a native hardwood from the northern regions of Argentina known for its exceptional density and slow burn. No chemicals, no binders. Burns 4 to 6 hours with very little ash, which is why it is our most popular charcoal. The quality of the wood is what makes the difference.
A pellet brand built on consistency. Every bag burns the same way, every time. Available across a range of wood species so you can match the smoke to what you are cooking. We stock them because reliability in a pellet smoker matters more than most people realise.
One of the most respected wood chip and chunk brands available. Made from real hardwood with no binders or chemicals, and available across a wide range of species including hickory, apple, cherry, pecan and mesquite. Works on gas, charcoal, and electric cookers.
BBQ Republic stocks the fuels, rubs, and smoking wood we actually cook with ourselves.
We have been cooking on BBQs since 2014, starting on gas and charcoal, moving to a smoker, and picking up our first Big Green Egg in 2017. Every product on this page has been chosen because it performs, not because it was the easiest to source or the cheapest to stock.
If you are cooking on a kamado, you need lump charcoal that burns hot, burns long, and produces very little ash. Argie Grillz Argentine Quebracho Blanco is what we reach for and what we recommend. The BGE Natural Lump Charcoal in Oak and Hickory or Canadian Maple is the manufacturer's own recommendation and a reliable choice for any BGE cook.
If you are running a pellet smoker, BBQr's Delight gives you consistent results across every bag. The smoke flavour is clean and the burn is predictable, which matters when you are running a long cook overnight.
The Misty Gully rub range is Australian made and covers everything from everyday seasonings to competition-grade profiles. Browse the range, read the recommended use on each product, and pick the one that matches what you are cooking.
