Yes. Every Broil King Imperial QS and Regal Q model can run on either LPG (bottled gas) or natural gas. The Imperial QS Built-In models are typically specified for natural gas because they install into outdoor kitchens where a permanent gas line is run. The Regal Q Freestanding models ship LPG-ready and can be converted to natural gas with the appropriate conversion kit and licensed installer.

Natural gas requires a fixed connection by a licensed gas fitter. We can recommend installers in the Sydney metro area. Call 0434 010 411 to discuss your install before purchase so we set the BBQ up correctly from the factory.

iQue Smart Grill is Broil King's WiFi-connected app system, standard on every Imperial QS and Regal Q model. Once paired with the free Broil King app on iOS or Android, you can:

Monitor temperature live across the cook chamber from your phone. Set cook timers and target temperatures with push alerts when targets are hit. Track multiple probes for ambient and meat temperatures simultaneously.

The practical use case: you start a low-and-slow brisket cook on a Saturday morning, head back into the kitchen for breakfast, and your phone alerts you when the chamber drifts off target or the meat hits temp. It is genuinely useful, not gimmick tech.

Broil King backs its Imperial, Regal and Baron gas grills with a Limited Lifetime warranty on the cookbox and 15 years top-to-bottom on parts and paint, including burners and grids. Electronics, lights and iQue components carry shorter cover. Buy from an authorised dealer like BBQ Republic and register your grill with Broil King. The Crown Charcoal Kettle has its own Broil King charcoal kettle warranty (10 years on the lid, 2 years on other parts). Full terms are in Broil King's warranty.

Imperial QS Built-In drops into a permanent outdoor kitchen island as a fixed appliance. No cart, no wheels. For buyers building or renovating an outdoor kitchen.

Regal Q Freestanding sits on a heavy-duty wheeled cart with side shelves and storage cabinet. Mobile, sits on a patio or paved area. For buyers replacing a freestanding gas BBQ.

The cooking experience is essentially identical between the two. The decision is where the BBQ lives in your backyard.

Both are premium gas BBQs, and the right choice depends on what you value.

Every Broil King we stock cooks on stainless steel grates: extra-heavy stainless on the Regal Q, cast stainless on the Imperial QS, stainless (Apex on the 590i) on the Baron, and a stainless Do More grid on the Crown kettle. They hold heat well for searing and don't need seasoning.

Preheat for 10 to 15 minutes, brush with a stainless or brass grill brush, and oil lightly before cooking. Stainless grates don't need seasoning and won't chip like porcelain.

Yes. Delivery is free across the Sydney metro area on every Broil King we sell, and we assemble any freestanding model, including the Crown kettle, for $100. Yes. Broil King is made by Onward Manufacturing, a Canadian family company, in its North American factories (Waterloo, Ontario, plus Indiana and Tennessee), with an Australian distributor and consistent parts availability. Replacement burners, grates, flame tamers, knobs, ignition modules and gas hardware are all in our supply chain.

The matching accessory range (Imperial and Regal grill covers, a cast iron griddle, rotisserie tumble basket, grilling stone, chicken roaster, tool set, grill light, burner maintenance set and Palmyra brushes) is made for Broil King grills, including the Regal Q, Imperial QS and Baron.

The Baron 490 IRX Shadow and Baron 590 IRX Shadow are pellet-ready gas grills. Add Broil King's PelletCore 400 (Baron 490) or PelletCore 500 (Baron 590) module, sold separately, to smoke with Broil King wood pellets. The Regal Q, Imperial QS and Crown kettle are not pellet-ready.
