The BBQ Republic Promise
The Blend
One-Third Flavour, Two-Thirds Combustion
Features
No Bark, Minimal Ash
Neither the hickory nor the oak component contains bark. Bark burns inconsistently and produces excess ash that clogs the firebox and fire pot. Bark-free pellets burn cleanly, produce minimal ash, and require less frequent fire pot cleaning between cooks.
Auger-Safe Pellet Sizing
BBQr's Delight pellets are slightly wider than most brands on the market but always under 2cm in length. This sizing eliminates auger feed jams, the most common mechanical problem with pellet grills using undersized or inconsistently sized fuel. Works in every pellet grill auger system.
Clean Blue Smoke
The blend produces the thin, clean blue smoke prized by competition pitmasters. Thick white smoke is a sign of incomplete combustion and imparts a harsh, bitter flavour. The BBQr's Delight hickory and oak blend combusts cleanly, delivering flavour without bitterness.

Compatible with all pellet-fired outdoor cookers including Yoder Smokers, Green Mountain Grills, NexGrill, Traeger, Weber SmokeFire, Memphis, and all other hopper-fed pellet smokers. Load into the hopper the same way as any other fuel pellet.

Common Questions
Why is the blend one-third hickory and two-thirds oak?
Pure hickory pellets produce more smoke than most pellet grills are tuned to handle cleanly, and the combustion can be inconsistent. The oak provides clean, stable heat output that keeps the pellet grill running at the target temperature reliably. The hickory provides the flavour. The one-third to two-thirds ratio delivers a distinctive hickory smoke character without the combustion inconsistency of a 100% hickory pellet. The result is the same bold smoke profile with better performance bag to bag.
Is this the same as BBQr's Delight smoking pellets?
No. BBQr's Delight makes two distinct products: Pellet Grill Fuel (this product, 9.07kg bags) for filling the hopper of a pellet smoker, and Smoking Pellets (450g resealable bags) for use in smoke tubes and smoker boxes in any type of cooker. The pellet grill fuel is for continuous combustion. The smoking pellets are for adding smoke flavour without heat. They look similar but serve completely different purposes.
Does it work in my Yoder Smoker?
Yes. BBQr's Delight Pellet Grill Fuel is compatible with all Yoder pellet smokers including the YS480s, YS640s and YS1500s. Load it into the hopper as you would any other fuel pellet. The pellet sizing (under 2cm in length) is specifically designed to eliminate auger feed issues across all pellet grill brands. It also works in GMG, NexGrill, Traeger, Weber SmokeFire, and any other hopper-fed pellet smoker.
Is hickory too strong for everyday cooks?
Hickory is a bold smoke. It is the dominant wood in American BBQ for a reason and most people cooking ribs, pork shoulder, or brisket on a pellet smoker will find it exactly right. For lighter proteins like chicken breast or fish, it is on the stronger end. Blending 50/50 with Apple or Cherry pellets produces a noticeably softer smoke profile that works across a wider range of ingredients without losing the smoky character.
