    450g BagSmoking Pellets (1lb)
    100% MesquiteNo Oak Filler
~60 Cooks Per Bag1/3 Cup Per Use
    All-NaturalChemical-Free

Texas mesquite smoke for any cooker. BBQr's Delight 100% Mesquite smoking pellets are pure flavour-wood pellets designed for smoke tubes, smoker boxes, electric smokers and as supplemental smoke in pellet grills: the universal way to add bold Texas-style mesquite smoke to any cook on any cooker.

BBQr's Delight is the original American smoking pellets brand (established 1989, before pellet grills were even mainstream), and these 450g bags are their flagship product: 100% pure mesquite wood, no oak filler, no chemical treatments, just pure compressed mesquite ready to smoke. A single 1/3 cup loaded into a smoke tube delivers 3-4 hours of strong mesquite smoke output, which is why one 450g bag covers approximately 60 cooks.

What "smoking pellets" are (and aren't)

BBQr's Delight 450g pellets are a different product to pellet grill fuel. Both are wood pellets, but they have different jobs:

    ✓ These pellets are for:

Adding smoke flavour to any cooker. Use them in pellet smoke tubes (A-Maze-N, LIZZQ etc.), gas grill smoker boxes, electric smoker chip trays, foil packets over charcoal, kamados, or sprinkled directly onto lit lump charcoal. 100% pure mesquite for maximum flavour intensity.

✗ These pellets are NOT for:

Filling the hopper of a pellet grill as your primary fuel. For that, you need 9kg pellet grill fuel like Lumber Jack Mesquite Blend (60% oak, 40% mesquite, designed for sustained heat output across 12-hour cooks). BBQr's Delight 450g pellets can be added on top of hopper fuel for a flavour boost.

    !

Mesquite is the strongest smoke wood. Use sparingly.

A single smoke tube fill (approximately 1/3 cup or 4 inches of pellets) delivers 3+ hours of strong mesquite smoke, which is plenty for most cooks. Mesquite's intense, spicy character is best paired with bold proteins like beef, game and jerky. Avoid using mesquite as your only smoke source on long delicate cooks (poultry, fish, pork): blend with a milder pellet like apple or hickory, or use mesquite as a finishing smoke for the last 60-90 minutes of the cook.

    100% Pure Mesquite Wood

No oak filler, no flavour blending, no chemical treatments. Pure compressed mesquite for maximum flavour intensity. Different from pellet grill fuel which is typically 2/3 oak.

    Designed for Smoke Tubes

Slightly wider diameter and never longer than 1.25 inches: ideal for A-Maze-N, LIZZQ and other smoke tubes. 3-4 hours of consistent smoke output per fill.

    Interior Wood Only, No Bark

BBQr's Delight uses only the inner wood, where lignin content delivers the cleanest smoke and lowest ash output. This is what professional pitmasters mean when they talk about "clean smoke".

    Works in Every Cooker

Gas grills, charcoal kettles, kamados (BGE), offset smokers, electric smokers (Masterbuilt), and pellet grills (as supplemental smoke). The universal flavour generator.

The Original American Smoking Pellets Brand

From 1989, before pellet grills existed.

BBQr's Delight was making compressed wood smoking pellets in Arkansas in 1989: years before pellet grills as we know them today became commercially available. The original use case was simple: a small bag of compressed flavour wood you could drop into a gas grill smoker box, sprinkle onto lit charcoal, or wrap in a foil packet to get authentic hardwood smoke flavour from any cooker. That original product is what you have here.

BBQr's Delight pellets remain the favoured smoke tube pellets of All Things Barbecue, the largest US Yoder Smokers dealer. Their pitmasters use these pellets to add layered smoke flavour beyond what hopper fuel delivers in their Yoder pellet grills: a 1/3 cup of cherry or apple BBQr's Delight pellets in a smoke tube on top of standard hopper fuel transforms the smoke profile of a brisket or ribs cook. For BBQ Republic, this is the same approach: BBQr's Delight pellets layer on top of whatever cooker you use, delivering the pure flavour wood character that blended hopper fuel cannot.

For Mesquite specifically, the 100% pure formulation makes a real difference. Standard pellet grill fuel is 2/3 oak, 1/3 mesquite (so you only get ~33% mesquite character). The BBQr's Delight 1lb bag is 100% mesquite. Used in a smoke tube during the last hour of a brisket cook, you get the same Texas-style smoke character as long-burn mesquite chunks would deliver in an offset smoker, but from any cooker.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I use these pellets as fuel in my Yoder or GMG pellet grill?
Not as primary hopper fuel, no. These 450g bags are 100% pure mesquite (no oak filler), which makes them too intense to burn as the sole heat source across long cooks. For primary pellet grill fuel, use 9kg pellet grill fuel like Lumber Jack Mesquite Blend (60% oak, 40% mesquite, designed for sustained heat output). However, BBQr's Delight pellets are designed to fit in pellet grill augers and can be added on top of standard hopper fuel for a flavour boost, OR loaded into a smoke tube and placed inside the grill chamber for layered smoke. This is the technique used by ATBBQ pitmasters in their Yoder smokers.
What is a smoke tube and how do I use one?
A smoke tube is a perforated metal cylinder (typically 6 or 12 inches long, 2 inches diameter) that holds smoking pellets. You fill the tube with pellets, light one end with a torch or lighter for 30-60 seconds until it burns, then blow out the flame and let it smoulder. The pellets slowly burn through the tube, releasing smoke through the perforations. A 12-inch tube filled with 1/3 cup of pellets delivers 3-4 hours of consistent smoke. Smoke tubes work in any cooker: gas grill, kamado, electric smoker, pellet grill, charcoal kettle, or even sitting on a tray over a portable burner for cold smoking.
How is this different from Lumber Jack Mesquite Blend pellets?
Two key differences. First, composition: BBQr's Delight 450g is 100% pure mesquite (no oak); Lumber Jack Mesquite Blend 9kg is 60% oak, 40% mesquite. Second, format and use: BBQr's Delight is a 1lb retail sampler designed for smoke tubes and supplemental flavour smoke in any cooker; Lumber Jack 9kg is bulk pellet grill fuel designed to burn as primary heat source in a pellet hopper. They complement each other: use Lumber Jack for the long brisket cook on your Yoder, then drop a smoke tube of BBQr's Delight 100% Mesquite into the chamber for the last hour to amplify the mesquite character.
How much should I use for a typical cook?
For smoke tube use, fill the tube with about 4 inches of pellets (roughly 1/3 cup). This delivers 3-4 hours of mesquite smoke output. For smoker box use on a gas grill, sprinkle 1/3 cup over the heat source. For foil packet use, wrap 1/3 cup of pellets in pierced foil. For supplemental smoke in a pellet grill, half-fill a smoke tube. Mesquite is the strongest flavour wood in our range, so erring on the lower side is usually right.
Should I soak BBQr's Delight pellets before use?
No. Unlike wood chips or chunks, smoking pellets are designed to burn dry. Soaking pellets prevents proper smoke generation, creates steam instead of smoke, and can cause the pellets to fall apart or clog smoke tubes. Always use pellets straight from the bag. This is one of the biggest differences from wood chips: chips are sometimes soaked, pellets never are.
Why is BBQr's Delight different from cheaper smoking pellets?
Three reasons. First, BBQr's Delight uses only the interior wood (no bark), which produces cleaner smoke and significantly less ash. Second, the pellets are sized to a max 1.25 inch length and slightly wider diameter than fuel pellets: this prevents pellet grill auger jams while burning consistently in smoke tubes. Third, 100% pure flavour wood (no oak filler): unlike pellet grill fuel which is 2/3 oak, these 1lb bags are pure mesquite for maximum flavour intensity. BBQr's Delight has been making smoking pellets since 1989, which gives them three decades of pellet manufacturing refinement.
Can I pick up from the showroom?
