    450g BagSmoking Pellets (1lb)
    100% CherryNo Oak Filler
    Mahogany FinishCompetition Colour
    All-NaturalChemical-Free

Sweet fruit smoke and signature mahogany colour for any cooker. BBQr's Delight 100% Cherry smoking pellets are pure flavour-wood pellets designed for smoke tubes, cold-smoking applications, smoker boxes, electric smokers and supplemental smoke in pellet grills: the universal way to add Cherry's distinctive sweet smoke and rose-pink colour finish to any cook.

Cherry has two characteristics that make it the most useful single smoke wood in the BBQ world: its sweet fruity smoke profile complements virtually every protein (beef, pork, poultry, fish, game), and its signature mahogany rose-pink colour finish gives meat surfaces a distinctive deep visual character no other smoke wood can match. In 450g pellet form, that profile becomes the universal flavour generator: a smoke tube of Cherry pellets works in any cooker you own.

What "smoking pellets" are (and aren't)

BBQr's Delight 450g pellets are a different product to pellet grill fuel. Both are wood pellets, but they have different jobs:

    ✓ These pellets are for:

Adding Cherry smoke flavour to any cooker. Use them in pellet smoke tubes (A-Maze-N, LIZZQ etc.), gas grill smoker boxes, electric smoker chip trays, foil packets over charcoal, kamados, or sprinkled directly onto lit lump charcoal. Particularly powerful for cold smoking (salmon, cheese, salt). 100% pure cherry for maximum flavour intensity.

✗ These pellets are NOT for:

Filling the hopper of a pellet grill as your primary fuel. For that, you need 9kg pellet grill fuel like Lumber Jack 100% Cherry 9kg pellets (also pure cherry, designed for sustained heat output across 12-hour cooks). BBQr's Delight 450g pellets can be added on top of hopper fuel via a smoke tube for a layered cherry flavour boost.

    100% Pure Cherry Wood

No oak filler, no flavour blending, no chemical treatments. Pure compressed cherry for maximum flavour intensity. Different from pellet grill fuel which is typically 2/3 oak.

    Signature Mahogany Colour

Cherry smoke gives meat a deep rose-pink, mahogany surface colour that no other smoke wood matches. The reason competition cooks reach for cherry on ribs, chicken and ham.

    The Cold-Smoking Specialist

Cherry is the traditional wood for cold-smoked salmon (Scandinavian heritage), cold-smoked cheeses, salt and chocolate. 450g pellets in a smoke tube delivers 3-4 hours of cold smoke for professional results at home.

    Works in Every Cooker

Gas grills, charcoal kettles, kamados (BGE), offset smokers, electric smokers (Masterbuilt), and pellet grills (as supplemental smoke). The universal flavour generator.

    The Cold-Smoke Specialist Pellet

Smoked salmon. Smoked cheese. Smoked salt. All for under $50.

Cherry has been the traditional cold-smoking wood for centuries: Scandinavian cold-smoked salmon, Northern European cured fish, Alpine cold-smoked cheeses, and the cold-smoked salt that finishes premium steaks. The reason is profile: Cherry's gentle sweetness and fruity character complement delicate proteins beautifully where bolder woods (hickory, mesquite) would overpower. For the home cook, cold smoking has historically required expensive dedicated cold-smoke chambers. Not anymore.

A 450g bag of BBQr's Delight Cherry pellets plus a pellet smoke tube (under $40) turns any cooker into a cold smoke chamber. Fill the tube with cherry pellets, light one end, blow out the flame, and let it smoulder. You get 3-4 hours of pure cherry smoke output with minimal heat generation: perfect for cold-smoked salmon (4-6 hours at under 30 degrees C), cold-smoked cheeses (2-3 hours), or cold-smoked finishing salts (overnight in a sealed chamber). Place the tube on a tray in a closed BBQ or kamado without lighting any charcoal: the tube itself is the heat AND smoke source, and Cherry's profile is the flavour.

Beyond cold smoking, Cherry pellets are also the competition mahogany-finish specialist. Drop a smoke tube of cherry pellets into your pellet grill or kamado during the last 60-90 minutes of a brisket or rib cook to add the signature rose-pink mahogany colour finish that defines competition-grade BBQ visual presentation. The bulk of the smoke comes from your primary fuel; cherry finishes the look.

    Frequently asked questions

What does Cherry wood smoke taste like?
Sweet, fruity, gentle. Cherry has a distinctive fruit-forward sweetness that complements virtually every protein (beef, pork, poultry, fish, game) without overpowering any of them. It is the single most versatile smoke wood in the BBQ world: hard to misuse, hard to over-smoke, and unique in giving meat a deep rose-pink mahogany surface colour that no other wood produces. In smoke tube form, 1/3 cup delivers 3-4 hours of consistent sweet cherry smoke.
Why does Cherry give meat that rose-pink mahogany colour?
Cherry smoke contains specific aromatic compounds that react with surface proteins to produce a distinctive deep mahogany or rose-pink hue. The effect develops across the cook time, so a smoke tube of cherry pellets running for the last 60-90 minutes of a brisket or rib cook will deliver visible colour change without overpowering the bulk of the smoke flavour. Competition pitmasters specifically use cherry as a finishing smoke for this visual effect.
Can I cold-smoke salmon with Cherry pellets?
Yes, this is one of cherry's headline applications. Cold-smoked salmon is the traditional Scandinavian preparation: cured salmon (dry-cured in salt and sugar) smoked at low temperatures (under 30 degrees C) for 4-6 hours. A 12-inch smoke tube filled with cherry pellets will run for 3-4 hours, perfect for one cold-smoke session, with minimal heat generation. Place the smoke tube on a tray in a sealed kamado or BBQ (NOT lit), put the cured salmon on the rack above, and let the smoke tube smoulder. Cherry's gentle sweetness is the traditional flavour pairing for salmon, and the 450g format gives you supplies for many sessions.
How does this compare to Cherry chips or chunks?
Cherry chunks (2kg) are for charcoal cooking and long brisket/charcuterie cooks where you need sustained robust cherry smoke across hours. Cherry chips (3L) are for gas grill smoker boxes and short cooks where chips burn out fast. Cherry 450g pellets (this product) are the universal format: works in any cooker including cold-smoking applications that the other formats can't do well. For pellet grill primary fuel, use Lumber Jack 9kg pellets. For supplemental smoke, smoke tubes, or cold-smoke applications, this is the bag.
Should I soak Cherry pellets before use?
No. Like all smoking pellets, Cherry pellets are designed to burn dry. Soaking them would create steam, prevent proper smoke generation, dissolve the cherry character that gives them their unique profile, and potentially cause the pellets to fall apart inside a smoke tube. Always use pellets straight from the bag. This is the most common first-time mistake: pellets are not chips, and they should never be soaked.
Can I use Cherry pellets to finish a brisket cook?
Yes, and this is one of the smartest uses. Run your primary cook (hopper fuel in a Yoder, lump charcoal with hickory chunks in a BGE, or oak/mesquite chips in a gas grill) for the bulk of the brisket cook, then add a smoke tube of cherry pellets for the LAST 60-90 MINUTES. The cherry doesn't overwhelm the established smoke profile but adds the signature rose-pink mahogany colour finish that competition pitmasters chase. One 450g bag gives you many brisket-finishing sessions.
Can I pick up from the showroom?
