The Coleman Revolution 2-Burner BBQ is built around Flare-Free Technology, which uses double-stacked cooking grates to capture and redirect 75% more grease away from the flames. This design eliminates the flare-ups that char food and create uneven cooking. The BBQ provides 2,065 cm² of main cooking surface, which is large enough to cook for 3-4 people simultaneously. Half double-sided hotplate, half grill grate The main cooking surface is split evenly into two zones. Half of the surface is a double-sided hotplate made from cast iron. One side is smooth and flat for cooking eggs, pancakes, or delicate items. The other side is ridged for grilling with sear marks. You can flip the hotplate depending on what you are cooking.

The other half of the cooking surface is a porcelain-coated cast iron grill grate. Porcelain coating improves heat retention, prevents rust, and makes the grate easier to clean than bare cast iron.

Traditional BBQs have a single cooking grate positioned directly above the burners. When fat and grease drip from food, they fall onto the flame tamers or burners and combust, creating flare-ups. Flare-ups char food, create uneven cooking, and leave carbon deposits on the grates and hood.

Coleman's Flare-Free Technology uses double-stacked cooking grates. The primary grate sits at the standard cooking height. Below it is a secondary catch grate positioned close to the burners. When fat and grease drip from food, they fall through the primary grate and land on the secondary catch grate rather than directly on the burners.

The secondary grate is angled to channel grease forward through a dedicated grease channel. The grease flows to a removable front-access grease cup positioned outside the firebox. This design captures 75% more grease than standard single-grate systems.
