The Large Egg Modular Expansion Bundle is the more complete version of the Large Modular setup. Where the Large Modular Bundle includes only the EGG Frame, this bundle adds the Expansion Frame alongside it, plus two Acacia Wood Inserts, a Stainless Steel Basket Insert, and an additional Tool Hook. You get a two-frame configuration with working surface and storage capacity included from the start, rather than adding them later.
This bundle suits people who want a complete outdoor cooking station immediately, with acacia wood prep surfaces, basket storage, and the EGG all in an integrated setup on day one. The Modular system remains expandable from here with further components available separately, but this bundle covers the core of what most owners end up building toward.
The Large is Big Green Egg's bestselling model and the most purchased EGG size in Australia. With a 46 cm cooking grid and 1,688 cm² of cooking surface, it is specified for 4 to 6 people and can cook 12 burgers, 2 whole chickens, or 4 Boston butts (approximately 3.6 kg each) at a time.

Modular Nest Expansion Frame
Second frame that connects to the EGG Frame and extends the overall footprint. Provides the structure for the acacia inserts and basket insert, adding prep surface and storage alongside the EGG.
3 x Caster Kits
Three caster kits providing six 10 cm casters in total (2 locking, 2 non-locking per kit). Locks firmly during cooking, unlocks for repositioning.
2 x Acacia Wood Inserts and 1 x Steel Basket Insert
Two slatted weather-resistant acacia wood inserts create prep surface on the Expansion Frame. Stainless steel basket insert provides additional storage within the setup.
Additional Tool Hook

The two-frame configuration means the Large EGG has acacia prep surface on the expansion side for seasoning, resting, and plating, and tool storage accessible without leaving the cooking station. For regular entertaining, having preparation and cooking in one integrated setup changes the workflow considerably.

Warranty Coverage
The warranty coverage for the Large Modular Expansion Bundle follows the standard Big Green Egg warranty structure. The warranty is valid only for EGGs purchased from an Authorised Dealer and requires registration by the original purchaser. All warranty claims for EGGs purchased through BBQ Republic are handled directly through us.

Assembly and Getting Started
The two-frame Modular configuration requires assembly of both the EGG Frame and Expansion Frame, including fitting all caster kits, installing inserts, and connecting the frames together before placing the EGG. Big Green Egg recommends having 1 to 2 people assist given the EGG's 73 kg weight. Register your EGG promptly after assembly to activate the warranty.
Care and maintenanceKeeping It in Good Condition
- Remove ash from the firebox after each cook using the included ash tool
- Brush the cooking grid clean after use
- Wipe down the Modular frames periodically and check fasteners
- Treat the Acacia Wood Inserts periodically with a food-safe hardwood oil to maintain the finish
- Never use lighter fluid or flammable accelerants inside the EGG. This may void the warranty and can damage the ceramic.
- Keep the dome closed when not in use to protect the gasket
- Use the SpeediClean Ceramic Cleaner if cleaning the exterior ceramic. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools.
- Keep covered when not in use

What is included in a Big Green Egg bundle?
Every BGE bundle includes the Egg itself plus a stand or nest system. Depending on the bundle, this may be an Acacia hardwood table, a modular nest, an intEGGrated nest and handler, or a built-in configuration. Most bundles also include a convEGGtor, charcoal, and SpeediLight starters. Each bundle page lists exactly what is included.
Do Big Green Egg bundles come with a warranty?
Yes. The ceramic components carry a lifetime warranty for residential use when purchased through an authorised dealer. Metal components carry a 5-year structural warranty, the convEGGtor 3 years, and the temperature gauge and gasket 1 year. The warranty requires registration and is only valid through authorised dealers like BBQ Republic.
Do you deliver and install Big Green Egg bundles in Sydney?
Yes. BBQ Republic offers free delivery and installation across Sydney on all Big Green Egg bundles. We deliver, assemble, and leave you ready to cook. No flat-pack assembly, no extra cost. Sales and delivery are available within New South Wales.
Which Big Green Egg size should I buy?
The Large is the most popular choice and the size we recommend most after seven years cooking on BGE. It feeds 4 to 6 people and handles everything from weeknight steaks to 16-hour briskets. The XL suits larger groups. The Medium suits couples or smaller spaces. The MiniMax is the most portable. If you are unsure, visit our Wetherill Park showroom and we will walk you through the options in person.
Can I see Big Green Egg bundles in person before buying?
Yes. BBQ Republic has a showroom in Wetherill Park, Sydney where multiple BGE bundle configurations are on display. You can compare sizes and setups side by side before committing. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
What can I cook on a Big Green Egg?
Everything. The Big Green Egg operates from 75 degrees to over 370 degrees, making it suitable for direct grilling at high heat, low and slow smoking, indirect roasting, baking, and pizza. With the convEGGtor included in most bundles, you can use every cooking method from day one.
Do I need to register my Big Green Egg for the warranty?
Yes. Registration is required for the warranty to be valid. The warranty covers the original registered purchaser and requires purchase from an authorised dealer. All warranty claims for EGGs purchased through BBQ Republic are handled directly through us.
