The Green Mountain Grills Trek Prime 2.0 Custom Cover is the genuine GMG-branded cover, cut and sewn specifically to the Trek's profile so it sits snug across the chamber, the controller pod, the hopper, the legs and the side shelf. No flapping, no gaps, no rain pooling in the wrong place.
It is also backwards compatible. If you have an older Trek that pre-dates the Prime 2.0 generation, this cover still fits, so the upgrade is worth doing on its own merits even if you are not buying a new grill.

Why a Custom Cover Matters
Protection That Pays for Itself
A pellet grill lives outside. The metal body, the controller, the hopper and the cooking chamber all wear faster when they sit exposed to sun, rain and dust between cooks. A purpose-cut cover is the simplest thing you can do to keep the Trek looking and performing like new.

Pattern-cut to the Trek's silhouette, including the controller pod and the side shelf. No flapping in the wind, no excess fabric pooling water.
UV and Sun Protection
Stops sun fade and prevents UV degradation of the controller plastics and powder-coat finish. Important in Australia, where summer sun is brutal.

Does this cover fit my older Trek?
Yes. Green Mountain Grills designed this cover to fit both the new Trek Prime 2.0 and older Trek model pellet smokers from previous generations. If you are not sure which Trek you have, send us a photo through our contact form and we will confirm fit before you order.
Will a generic cover do the same job?
A generic cover protects against the worst, but it never fits properly. Excess fabric flaps in the wind, pools water in the wrong places and lets dust in around the legs and hopper. The GMG custom cover is pattern-cut to the Trek's silhouette including the controller pod and the side shelf, so it sits tight and does the job long-term.
Do I really need a cover if the grill lives under a verandah?
Even under cover, a pellet grill collects dust, leaf litter, insects and humidity. The cover keeps the cooking chamber clean between cooks and stops pellets in the hopper drawing moisture from the air. Pellets that have absorbed moisture do not feed cleanly and can throw off temperature control. The cover pays for itself in cleaner cooks and longer hopper life.
Can I leave it on during a cook?
No. Never run the grill with the cover on. Always remove the cover fully before lighting the grill and put it back on once the unit has cooled completely after the cook.
