The Coleman Revolution Dual Fuel BBQ is the only unit in the Coleman range that combines a full-size gas grill with Flare-Free Technology and a full-size charcoal kettle in a single integrated appliance. This design solves the practical problem of wanting both cooking methods without needing two separate BBQs, two sets of storage, and twice the outdoor space. The gas side handles weeknight grilling and high-heat searing with minimal setup and cleanup. The charcoal lighting burner means you don't need fire starters, lighter fluid, or chimney starters. Turn on the burner, place charcoal over it, and wait for the coals to light.

For best results, we recommend using premium lump charcoal like Argie Grillz premium lump with the charcoal lighting burner. The dense Quebracho Blanco hardwood lights evenly and burns longer than standard charcoal.

46.2 MJ/h power Coleman rates the power at 46.2 MJ/h. You can use one side, the other, or both simultaneously depending on what you are cooking.

The gas side of the Coleman Revolution Dual Fuel features Flare-Free Technology, which captures and removes 75% of grease to eliminate flare-ups, hot spots and burnt or overcooked food.

Traditional gas BBQs allow grease to drip directly onto burners, where it ignites and creates flare-ups that char food and create uneven heat. Flare-Free Technology captures and removes grease before it can cause flare-ups, and the double stacked cooking grates offer double the heat retention.

Coleman says this design captures and removes 75% of grease, eliminating flare-ups, hot spots and burnt or overcooked food, and reducing the smoke and soot that result from burning grease.

The practical advantages are cleaner cooking, less smoke, fewer flare-ups, and easier cleanup.

Charcoal Lighting Burner: How It Works

The charcoal side of the Coleman Revolution Dual Fuel includes a charcoal lighting burner that speeds up charcoal ignition to get you cooking faster.

Traditional charcoal lighting requires fire starters, lighter fluid, or a chimney starter. The charcoal lighting burner replaces these methods by providing a controlled flame directly under the charcoal. Turn on the burner, place charcoal over it, and wait for the coals to ignite.

Once the charcoal is lit and glowing, turn off the gas burner and allow the charcoal to come up to full cooking temperature.

This method is cleaner than lighter fluid and more convenient than managing fire starters.

Coleman lists the gas type for the Coleman Revolution Dual Fuel as ULPG (bottled gas) and doesn't list a natural gas conversion on its product page. Talk to us before buying if you need natural gas.
