The Pyralit Micro Ignition Unit is made for charcoal cooking on the move. Built for camping, outdoor travel, picnics and smaller cooks, it gives you the same fast charcoal lighting in a compact, portable size.
No fans, no batteries, no lighter fluid. Just load it, light a starter underneath and let the airflow do the work.
Fast, clean charcoal lighting, anywhere
This is a passive chimney starter engineered to get charcoal to cooking temperature fast, without electricity or chemicals. The Micro shrinks Pyralit's design down for the road, holding up to 800g of charcoal and lighting it evenly in under 10 minutes, so a hibachi, a small kamado or a picnic cook is ready when you are.
Ready in under 10 minutes
Engineered airflow draws heat up through the charcoal for a fast, even light, getting your coals to cooking temperature in under 10 minutes.
Built to travel
Compact, portable and 60.5% lighter than the original model at just 1.5kg, it is made to throw in the car for camping, travel and picnics.
316 marine-grade stainless
Built from 316 marine-grade stainless steel with no coatings, paint or zinc to burn off. Solid, welded construction rather than riveted.
No fuel, no electricity
A passive design that needs no fans, batteries or lighter fluid. Light a natural starter below and the chimney does the rest.
How it works
1
Load
Fill the unit with up to 800g of your charcoal of choice, from lump to briquettes to binchotan.
2
Light
Light a natural firestarter underneath. The engineered airflow pulls heat up through the coals.
3
Pour
In under 10 minutes the coals are evenly lit and ready to tip into your cooker. No fuss, no fumes.
