The foundation of the RACKT modular system inside your Ledge Prime 2.0. The mounting plate that hosts every RACKT module.
The RACKT Backboard is the foundational component of the Green Mountain Grills RACKT modular system on the Ledge Prime 2.0. It is the rail-plate that mounts inside the chamber and gives the other RACKT modules something to clip into. Without the Backboard, the Warming Rack, Rib Rack, Griddle and Suspender modules have nothing to attach to.
Think of it as the rail system in a modular kitchen. The Backboard is the rail. Every RACKT module is a fitting that clicks into the rail. Once it is installed, swapping modules is tool-free: slide one out, slide another in, change the cooking style of your grill in seconds.
For the Ledge Prime 2.0 Specifically
This Backboard is cut to fit the Ledge Prime 2.0 chamber. The Peak Prime 2.0 has its own separate Backboard SKU because the Peak chamber is larger. This Backboard does not fit the Trek Prime 2.0 (no RACKT compatibility) or the Peak Prime 2.0 (wrong dimensions). If you have a Peak, give us a call and we will source the right Backboard for your grill.

Every RACKT module you buy needs somewhere to attach. The Backboard is that somewhere. It is the only piece in the RACKT line-up that does not directly cook anything, but it is the piece that unlocks every other RACKT cook you might want to do.

Once the Backboard is in your Ledge chamber, every RACKT module can clip in. Warming Rack, Rib Rack, Griddle, Chicken Leg Suspender. All of them attach to this single mounting plate.

What You Can Add Once the Backboard Is In
RACKT is Green Mountain Grills' modular accessory system for the Prime 2.0 pellet grills. The Backboard you are looking at hosts every RACKT module Green Mountain Grills makes: the Warming Rack for a second cooking level, the Rib Rack for vertical multi-rack cooks, the Griddle for smash burgers and breakfast, and the Suspender for hanging chicken legs and drummettes. Each module clips into this single mounting plate.
The modules are sold separately. The Backboard ships on its own. Pair the Backboard with the modules you actually want to cook with rather than buying a fixed bundle. Most owners start with one or two modules and add more over time as they find use cases.

Quick answers to the most common questions on the RACKT Backboard.
Will this fit my Peak Prime 2.0 or my Trek?
Neither. The Peak Prime 2.0 has a larger chamber than the Ledge Prime 2.0 and uses a separate Backboard SKU cut to those dimensions, so this is the wrong part for a Peak. The Trek Prime 2.0 does not support the RACKT system at all. If you have a Peak and you need a Backboard, give us a call and we will source the right SKU. If you have a Trek and you want to expand your cooking surface, ask us about accessories that actually fit the Trek.
Do I need the Backboard before I can use any other RACKT module?
The Backboard is the mounting plate that every RACKT module clips into, so without it, the Warming Rack, Rib Rack, Griddle and Suspender have nothing to attach to. If your Ledge Prime 2.0 shipped with a Backboard already installed from the factory, you do not need this one for first-time RACKT use. If you bought your Ledge before the RACKT system launched, or you need a replacement, this is the part. Not sure where you stand? Call us and we will work it out.
Do any RACKT modules come with the Backboard?
No. The Backboard ships on its own. Other RACKT modules featured in the Green Mountain Grills product imagery, including the Warming Rack, Rib Rack, Griddle, and Suspender, are sold separately, so you can pick the modules you actually want to cook with rather than paying for a fixed bundle. How easy is the Backboard to install in the Ledge chamber?
The Backboard is designed for straightforward installation inside the Ledge Prime 2.0 chamber. It locates against the chamber wall using the existing rail geometry GMG built into the Ledge. Once installed, the modules slide in and out without tools.
