Do You Actually Need 6 Burners?

A 6 burner gas BBQ is the flagship of the range, but it is not the right pick for everyone. Here is when it makes sense, and when a 5 burner is probably enough.

You regularly cook for 12 or more people Six burners give you the headroom to feed a crowd without batching. If you regularly cook for ten or fewer, a 5 burner usually covers it.
You want four distinct temperature zones Six burners give you the option to run a sear zone, an indirect zone, a warming zone and a roasting zone simultaneously. If three zones are enough, a 5 burner does that.
Your outdoor kitchen build is the centrepiece of the home If you are designing a serious outdoor kitchen as a permanent feature, the Imperial QS 690 BI anchors it properly. For a more compact built-in, the Imperial QS 590 BI is the smarter choice.
You want the most heavy-duty Broil King build available If you simply want the best gas BBQ Broil King makes and the cost is not the deciding factor, a 6 burner is the answer. The Imperial 690 is the most heavy-duty unit in the range.

Both are Broil King flagship 6 burners with the same iQue Smart Grill technology and 304 stainless steel construction. The Imperial QS 690 BI is engineered for built-in benchtop installation in an outdoor kitchen. The Regal Q 690 Pro is the freestanding version on a heavy-duty cart. Pick by installation, not by performance.
What is iQue Smart Grill?
iQue Smart Grill is Broil King's digital temperature control system. It gives you precise, set-and-hold temperature management across all burners, plus burner-by-burner zone control. The closest thing to set-and-forget cooking on a gas BBQ.
Is a 6 burner gas BBQ overkill for a normal household?
If you cook for fewer than 10 people regularly and do not run multiple temperature zones, a 6 burner is probably more than you need. The 5 burner range (including the Broil King Regal Q 590 Pro at a sharper price) handles most premium cooks. The 6 burner is the right pick when crowd size, build quality, or outdoor kitchen integration are the driving factors.
Does a 6 burner gas BBQ run on natural gas or LPG?
Both the Imperial QS 690 BI and the Regal Q 690 Pro can be configured for natural gas or LPG. Confirm fuel type when ordering. Natural gas conversion must be done by a licensed gas plumber.
