The wider stance, wire shelves, and larger cart dimensions mean the standard cart cover will not fit correctly. This is the cover built specifically for that configuration, cut to fit the full Competition Cart setup so every part of the grill and cart is properly protected.
The moment we upgraded from the Standard Cart to the Competition Cart, this cover was one of the first things we ordered. Keeping the grill covered after every cook has been part of our routine since we first got our YS640, and it is the main reason the finish and exterior have held up the way they have over years of regular use. After every cook, once the grill has cooled, the cover goes on. It takes seconds and it keeps the whole setup looking exactly as it should between sessions.

The Competition Cart is a larger, wider configuration than the Standard Cart. A generic cover or the wrong Yoder cover will not account for the cart width, shelves, and overall footprint, leaving sections of the grill and cart exposed to the elements.
The YS640 Competition Cart All Weather Cover is cut to fit the Competition Cart specifically. It covers the full setup, including the grill body, hopper, and cart, without leaving gaps where moisture, dust, or UV exposure can work on the equipment between cooks.
If you have your YS640 on a Standard Cart, there is a separate cover for that configuration. Please make sure you are ordering the correct cover for your setup before purchasing.

No. This cover is cut for the YS640 on the Competition Cart. The Standard Cart has a different footprint, so the wrong cover will not fit properly. For a Standard Cart, choose the YS640 Standard Cart All Weather Cover. If you are unsure which cart you have, call 0434 010 411 before ordering.
What is the difference between the Standard Cart and the Competition Cart?
The Competition Cart is a larger, wider base with a more substantial frame, wire shelves and a bigger overall footprint than the Standard Cart. A Standard Cart cover will not fit a Competition Cart setup, which is why Yoder makes a separate cover for each cart.
Does it fit both the YS640 and the YS640s on the Competition Cart?
Yes. It fits both on the Competition Cart. When choosing a cover, go by the cart, not the model suffix.
Can I leave it on year-round outdoors?
Yes. It is made from heavy-duty waterproof fabric designed for permanent outdoor use, and it handles rain, sun, coastal humidity and dust. Take it off before each cook and put it back on once the grill has fully cooled.
Does it cover the Competition Cart's wire shelves?

Yes. We cover our own YS640 after every cook and have used this cover since we moved to the Competition Cart. It is the main reason the finish has held up so well. Once the grill has cooled, the cover goes on. It takes seconds.
Can I put the cover on before the grill has cooled?
No. Wait until the outside of the grill is cool to the touch. Covering a warm grill traps heat and moisture, which can damage the fabric and cause condensation on the metal.
How does it work with the Yoder Grill Mat?
They protect different things. The cover protects the grill and cart from rain, UV, dust and debris between cooks. The Yoder Smokers Grill Mat, sold separately, protects your deck or patio from grease, ash and heat during cooks. For complete protection, use both.
How do I clean the cover?
Use mild soap and water with a soft brush or cloth, and rinse off loose dust with a garden hose. Let it air dry completely before refitting or folding it, as storing it damp can cause mildew. Do not machine wash or tumble dry it.
