Half of your charcoal grill, turned into a genuine griddle station without giving up the other half as open grate. This sits directly over the charcoal tray on your 24 x 48 Adjustable Charcoal Grill, so you get real fire underneath a flat cooking surface, not a diffused substitute.
It rides on the same height adjustment system as the grates, so it travels through the full 6 inches of adjustment right alongside them. Drop it down for a hard sear or raise it up for gentler griddle cooking.

Why It Works
Built to Live on the Fire, Not Beside It
A lot of griddle accessories are an afterthought bolted onto a grate. This one is sized and mounted to work with the grill's own adjustment system from the start, so it behaves like part of the cooking system rather than something sitting on top of it.
No seasoning required
304 stainless does not need seasoning like cast iron, and it will not rust if you skip an oil coat.

How to Use It
Breakfast on One Side, Steak on the Other
Light your charcoal as normal and let it come up to temperature before placing the griddle in position. Give it 10 to 15 minutes to preheat, stainless steel takes a little longer to heat through than cast iron, but it holds that heat well once it gets there.
Run bacon, eggs, and pancakes on the griddle side while the open grates handle anything that wants direct grate marks. For a hard sear, drop the griddle down through the height adjustment to sit closer to the coals, then raise it back up afterward.

Care and Maintenance
Keeping the Griddle in Shape
- Scrape the surface with a grill scraper while still warm to lift cooked-on residue
- Wash with warm water and a non-abrasive sponge, no seasoning or oiling required
- Dry the surface after washing to prevent water spotting
- Avoid steel wool or harsh abrasives that can scratch the stainless finish
- Store indoors or under a fitted cover to protect the finish between cooks

Does this griddle fit any 24 x 48 charcoal grill, or just the Competition Cart version?
It is built for Yoder's 24 x 48 charcoal grill platform, and we stock and fit it specifically to the Adjustable Charcoal Grill on Competition Cart on our showroom floor. If you have a different 24 x 48 configuration, contact our team to confirm fit before ordering.
Do I need to season the griddle before first use?
No. Unlike cast iron, 304 stainless steel does not need seasoning. Wash it with warm water before first use to remove any manufacturing residue, then it is ready to cook on.
Can I run the griddle and the open grates at the same time?
Yes. The griddle covers roughly half the cooking surface, so the other half stays as open grates. Cook breakfast or delicate items on the griddle and steaks or anything needing grill marks on the grates, in the same session.
Will the griddle rust if I do not oil it after cleaning?
No. Stainless steel resists rust without ongoing oiling. Just dry it after washing to avoid water spotting, that is the main thing to stay on top of.
