The XL Egg Modular Expansion Bundle pairs the XL Big Green Egg with the Modular Nest EGG Frame and an Expansion Frame in a single straight-line configuration. It arrives with casters fitted, prep surfaces installed, and all the cooking accessories needed to start immediately. It is the most complete freestanding outdoor kitchen entry point in the XL Modular Nest range.
The XL EGG has 2,919 cm² of cooking surface, specified for 6 to 12 people, with capacity for 20 burgers, 4 whole chickens, or 6 Boston butts (approximately 3.6 kg each) in a single cook. The Expansion Frame extends the workspace alongside the EGG, providing food preparation space and storage from the moment the bundle is assembled. The casters included in this bundle mean the entire setup is mobile, not anchored to any fixed position.
The Modular Nest System is designed for growth. Start with this two-frame configuration and add further Expansion Frames, Cabinets, or Corner units later as your outdoor kitchen evolves. Nothing in this bundle locks you into a final layout.

3 x Caster Kits for Modular Nest System
Each kit provides two locking and two non-locking 10 cm casters. Three kits fit both the EGG Frame and Expansion Frame, making the entire assembly mobile.
1 x Additional Tool Hook
A second tool hook for the Expansion Frame, providing extra hanging storage for cooking tools alongside the EGG.
2 x Acacia Wood Inserts + 1 x Stainless Steel Basket
Slatted acacia wood inserts provide weather-resistant prep and serving surface across the Expansion Frame. Steel basket for open storage within the frame.

The Modular Nest System: Straight-Line Configuration
The XL Modular Expansion Bundle is built in a straight-line layout: the EGG Frame and Expansion Frame run side by side in a single direction. This is the configuration that suits outdoor spaces where the EGG station runs along a wall, fence line, or the edge of a patio. It requires a linear footprint rather than a corner.
The Expansion Frame alongside the EGG provides working surface immediately. The two Acacia Wood Inserts and Stainless Steel Basket Insert included in this bundle fill the Expansion Frame from day one, giving you prep space and accessible storage without needing to add anything else at the outset.
The three Caster Kits provide full mobility for the assembled two-frame setup. Locking casters keep the station in position while cooking. When you need to reposition the EGG station for an event, seasonal change, or layout update, the casters allow the entire structure to be moved.
As your outdoor kitchen requirements change, the Modular Nest System accommodates growth. Additional Expansion Frames can be added to extend the straight-line run. A Corner Nest can be incorporated if the layout eventually needs to turn 90 degrees. Expansion Cabinets can replace open frame sections for closed storage. Each component is designed to integrate with the existing system without requiring the setup to be rebuilt.

The Large is the most sold EGG size in Australia and handles the majority of household cooking and entertaining without difficulty. WarrantyWarranty Coverage
The warranty coverage for the XL Egg Modular Expansion Bundle follows the standard Big Green Egg warranty structure. The warranty is valid only for EGGs purchased from an Authorised Dealer and requires warranty registration by the original purchaser. All warranty claims for EGGs purchased through BBQ Republic are handled directly through us.

Keeping It in Good Condition
- Remove ash from the firebox after each cook using the included ash tool
- Brush the cooking grid clean after use
- Never use lighter fluid or flammable accelerants inside the EGG. This may void the warranty and can damage the ceramic.
- Keep the dome closed when not in use to protect the gasket
- Use the SpeediClean Ceramic Cleaner if cleaning the exterior ceramic. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools
- Wipe the Modular Nest frames with a damp cloth to keep them clean. Check caster locks periodically and ensure they are engaging correctly
- Treat the Acacia Wood Inserts with an appropriate outdoor wood oil periodically to protect the timber against weathering

What is included in a Big Green Egg bundle?
Every BGE bundle includes the Egg itself plus a stand or nest system. Depending on the bundle, this may be an Acacia hardwood table, a modular nest, an intEGGrated nest and handler, or a built-in configuration. Most bundles also include a convEGGtor, charcoal, and SpeediLight starters. Each bundle page lists exactly what is included.
Do Big Green Egg bundles come with a warranty?
Yes. The ceramic components carry a lifetime warranty for residential use when purchased through an authorised dealer. Metal components carry a 5-year structural warranty, the convEGGtor 3 years, and the temperature gauge and gasket 1 year. The warranty requires registration and is only valid through authorised dealers like BBQ Republic.

Which Big Green Egg size should I buy?
The Large is the most popular choice and the size we recommend most after seven years cooking on BGE. It feeds 4 to 6 people and handles everything from weeknight steaks to 16-hour briskets. The XL suits larger groups. The Medium suits couples or smaller spaces. The MiniMax is the most portable. Can I see Big Green Egg bundles in person before buying?
Yes. BBQ Republic has a showroom in Wetherill Park, Sydney where multiple BGE bundle configurations are on display. You can compare sizes and setups side by side before committing. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
What can I cook on a Big Green Egg?
