The BBQ Republic Promise
Damp pellets cause more problems on a pellet grill than almost any other factor.
Auger jams. Pellets swell as they absorb moisture. Swollen pellets cannot feed smoothly through the auger system and jam. An auger jam stops the cook entirely and requires manual clearing before the grill can be restarted.
Inconsistent burn temperature. Damp pellets burn less consistently than dry ones, producing erratic temperature swings rather than the stable, set-point temperature that pellet grill cooking depends on for long cooks.
Poor smoke quality. Damp pellets produce white, billowing smoke from incomplete combustion rather than the thin, clean blue smoke that carries flavour cleanly into the food. White smoke means bitter, unpleasant flavour.
Pellets cannot be recovered once wet. Unlike other consumables, pellets that have absorbed enough moisture to begin breaking down cannot be dried out and restored to usable condition.
Features
Airtight Lid with Locking Closure
The lid seals airtight and locks closed to prevent moisture entering the bin. Effective in Sydney humidity, on covered patios, in sheds, and in garages where ambient moisture would otherwise degrade an open bag of pellets over time.
22 lb Capacity
Holds a full 9kg (22lb) Traeger pellet bag with room remaining. No need to leave excess pellets in an open or loosely sealed bag between cooks. The full bag goes into the bin, the lid locks, and the pellets stay dry until needed.
Stacking Design
Bins are designed to stack directly on top of each other. A collection of different pellet flavours (Signature Blend, Hickory, Apple, Cherry, Pecan, Oak and Whiskey) stores in a compact vertical footprint rather than in open bags stacked against a wall.
Flavour Stickers Included
Six pre-labelled stickers covering the six standard Traeger flavours and six blank stickers for custom blends or non-Traeger pellets. Each bin is clearly labelled so the correct pellet is loaded for each cook without opening multiple bins to check.

Common Questions
Do I really need to store pellets in a sealed bin?
If your grill is outdoors and you live anywhere with humidity or seasonal rain, yes. Pellets left in a loose or open bag absorb moisture from the air over time, particularly overnight or between cooks. In Sydney's climate, an open bag of pellets left outside will begin to degrade within a few uses. The consequences are practical: auger jams, inconsistent temperature, and poor smoke quality. A sealed bin eliminates all three.
Can I use it for non-Traeger pellets?
Yes. The StayDry bin works for any hardwood pellet regardless of brand. BBQr's Delight pellet grill fuel — also stocked at BBQ Republic — stores perfectly in the StayDry bin. The six blank stickers allow you to label the bin for any pellet brand or custom blend you are storing.
How many bins do I need?
One bin per pellet flavour you stock. If you keep two or three flavours on hand (for example, Signature Blend as your everyday pellet and Hickory for brisket cooks), two or three bins cover the collection. The stacking design keeps the footprint small — three bins stacked take up the floor space of one. Bins are sold individually so you can add to your collection as your pellet range grows.
