The BBQ Republic Promise
A full packer brisket and sides. Simultaneously.
A full packer brisket runs long and wide. At 575 square inches, it takes most of the primary grate and leaves limited room for anything alongside it. At 780 square inches, the brisket sits on one side and ribs, a pork shoulder, or a full tray of sides cook next to it in the same session.
For competition-scale output from a single grill, for cooking for groups of twelve or more, or for anyone who finds themselves doing multiple back-to-back batches on a smaller grill, the Pro 780 is the more capable tool. The Pro 575 is the right grill for a household of four doing regular weekend cooks. The Pro 780 is the right grill when the cook regularly exceeds what the 575 can handle in a single session.

Key Features
780 Square Inches of Cooking Space
The primary grate and upper shelf together deliver 780 square inches of total cooking area. Large enough to run a full packer brisket alongside multiple racks of ribs in the same session, or to cook two whole chickens, a roast, and sides simultaneously without compromising temperature management across the grate.
WiFIRE App Control
Monitor and adjust temperature, check the meat probe reading, and receive done notifications from your phone via the Traeger app. Alexa voice control is also supported. Our installation service connects your Pro 780 to WiFIRE and confirms the app is working on your phone before we leave.
D2 Controller and Brushless Drivetrain
Brushless motor on the auger and fan delivers faster startup, more consistent temperatures, and quieter operation than older Traeger models. Turbo Temp recovers temperature quickly after the lid is opened, keeping the cook on track through repeated basting or probing sessions.
Meat Probe and Hopper Clean-Out
An included meat probe integrates with the D2 controller and the Traeger app. Set a target temperature and receive an alert when it is reached. The hopper clean-out door allows quick pellet removal when changing wood flavours or storing the grill, preventing auger jams from old or damp pellets.
Six Cooking Modes
Compare Traeger and Yoder in person before you decide.
BBQ Republic's Wetherill Park showroom is the only place in New South Wales where you can stand in front of a Traeger Pro 780 and a Yoder Smokers pellet grill at the same time. Open both lids. Feel the grate quality. Look at the build. Understand the difference in a way no spec sheet or YouTube video can replicate. We stock and cook on both and will give you an honest assessment of which suits your cooking style and budget.

Common Questions
What is the actual difference between the Pro 780 and Pro 575?
Cooking area only. The Pro 780 has 780 square inches of total cooking space versus 575 square inches on the Pro 575 — 35 percent more. Everything else is identical: same WiFIRE connectivity, same D2 controller, same brushless drivetrain, same meat probe, same porcelain grates, same hopper clean-out, same Turbo Temp, same 3-year warranty. The decision is purely whether the extra cooking area justifies the difference in investment for how and how often you cook.
Should I get the Pro 780 or the Pro 575?
The Pro 575 suits most regular home cooks cooking for households of two to four. It handles a full brisket flat, multiple racks of ribs, or a whole chicken comfortably. The Pro 780 is the right choice if you regularly cook for groups of eight or more, entertain frequently, or find yourself doing multiple back-to-back batches on a smaller grill. Both are in the showroom at Wetherill Park if you want to see the size difference in person before deciding.
What does the free delivery and installation include?
Our team delivers the Pro 780 to your home, assembles it fully, connects it to your WiFi network via WiFIRE, confirms the Traeger app is working on your phone, and walks you through the basics of your first cook before leaving. You do not need to do any assembly or configuration yourself. This is included at no additional cost for all Traeger purchases delivered within the Sydney metro area. Call us on 0434 010 411 for delivery options outside Sydney metro.
What pellets should I use in the Pro 780?
Any food-grade hardwood pellet under 2cm in length stored dry works in the Pro 780. Traeger's own pellet range is one option. BBQ Republic also stocks BBQr's Delight pellet grill fuel in Hickory, Apple, Cherry, and other flavours, which is fully compatible with the Pro 780 and sized to avoid auger jams. Ask us in the showroom about pellet flavour selection for different cooks.
Can I pick one up from the showroom?
Yes. The Traeger Pro 780 is available for inspection and same-day pickup from our Wetherill Park showroom at 5 Vicars Place. Come in, compare the 780 and 575 side by side, and see the Yoder range at the same time before making a decision. Call us on 0434 010 411 to confirm current stock before making the trip.
