Build Your Outdoor Kitchen.
Module by Module.
The Coleman Outdoor Modular System lets you build a complete outdoor kitchen alongside a Revolution or Pro Series BBQ, one module at a time. Sink modules, fridge modules, storage cabinets, cupboards, and corner connectors, all in matching matte black or gloss finish at consistent height. Start with the BBQ and add modules as the budget allows. Every module on display at our Wetherill Park showroom.
Meet the Modules
Five module types in the Coleman Outdoor Modular System. Each one connects seamlessly to your Revolution or Pro Series BBQ and to the other modules, sharing the same height, depth, and finish.
Corner Module
The connector piece that lets you turn the kitchen 90 degrees, building L-shaped or U-shaped layouts around a corner of your outdoor space. Available in Black Matte and Shadow Gloss.
Finish: Matte or Shadow Gloss View Corner ModuleFridge Module
A cabinet sized and ventilated to house a standard outdoor-rated bar fridge (fridge sold separately). Keeps drinks and prep ingredients within arm's reach of the BBQ.
Finish: Matte or Gloss View Fridge ModuleCupboard Module
A storage cabinet for utensils, plates, and BBQ accessories with double-door access. Available with or without a built-in drawer for added organisation.
Finish: Matte or Gloss View Cupboard ModuleStorage Module
A larger solid-build storage cabinet for bulk items, gas bottles, and bigger BBQ tools. The workhorse of the kitchen, sized to hold what the smaller cupboards cannot.
Finish: Gloss currently stocked View Storage ModuleSink Module
The serious upgrade. An outdoor sink module with tap fixtures, ready for plumbing connection by a licensed plumber. Means no more running back to the kitchen mid-cook.
Finish: Gloss currently stocked View Sink ModuleThe BBQ Itself
Every modular kitchen needs a BBQ at its heart. The Revolution and Pro Series gas BBQs and the Dual Fuel are all designed to slot into the modular system at the same height and connection standard.

Three example builds buyers have actually configured at our showroom. Use these as starting points and customise from there. Every layout assumes a Coleman BBQ at the centre, with modules either side.
The Compact Build
The minimum modular kitchen setup. BBQ plus one storage module on either side, all in matching finish. Looks intentional rather than improvised, fits a small alfresco footprint.
The Family Entertainer
The sweet-spot build. BBQ flanked by a fridge module and a cupboard, with a sink module for genuine outdoor functionality. Means you stop running back to the indoor kitchen during cooks.
The Full Kitchen Build
No compromises. Pro Series flagship BBQ, sink, fridge, storage, plus a corner module to turn the kitchen 90 degrees around your alfresco. The build that justifies "outdoor kitchen" rather than "BBQ with cupboards".
A Note on These Prices
Totals above cover the Coleman BBQ and modules only. The fridge insert for the fridge module, sink plumbing connection, and any in-ground or fixed installation work are additional. We can walk you through total project costs at the showroom or over the phone.
Build at Your Pace
The modular system is designed to scale with your budget and your space. You do not need to commit to the full kitchen on day one. Here is the build sequence we typically recommend.
Start with the BBQ
Pick the right Coleman model first. Everything else builds around it at matching height and finish.
Add One Side Module
A cupboard or storage module on one side. Gives the BBQ context and immediately reads as a built-in kitchen.
Add Function Modules
Sink and fridge are the upgrades that change how you cook. Add when budget allows.
Expand the Layout
Corner modules and additional cabinets to extend the kitchen around the alfresco or onto a second wall.
Plan the Final Layout Up Front
Even if you are only buying the BBQ now, sketch out where every future module will go. This means you know your final dimensions before pouring concrete, building a frame, or designing a roof structure. Coleman modules connect at fixed widths, so the final footprint is predictable once the plan is set.
The Order That Matters Most
If budget is tight, prioritise BBQ → Cupboard → Sink → Fridge → Corner. The sink module is the upgrade most buyers say they wish they had added sooner, because it stops the trip back inside mid-cook. The corner module makes sense once you know you want to turn the kitchen 90 degrees.
Built to Match, Not Just Compatible
The Coleman Outdoor Modular System is engineered so every module shares the same finish, dimensions, and connection standard as the BBQ. The result reads as one designed kitchen, not a row of cabinets that happen to sit next to each other.
One Continuous Line
Every Module at the Same Working Height
Every Coleman module is built to a single working height that matches the Revolution and Pro Series BBQ cooktop. When you place modules either side of the BBQ, the prep surface stays at a continuous level across the entire kitchen. No step-ups, no awkward height changes, no improvised shimming.
Matching Finish System
Matte Black and Black Gloss are the same colour formula across the BBQ and every module. Pick one finish for the whole kitchen and it stays consistent piece to piece, batch to batch.
Standardised Module Widths
Each module type ships at a fixed width, so the final kitchen footprint is predictable once you know which modules you want. You can plan the slab, the frame, and the alfresco structure before any module is purchased.
Side-by-Side Connection
Modules sit flush against the BBQ and against each other with no gap. The visual result is a single uninterrupted run rather than spaced units, which is the difference between a real kitchen and a collection of cabinets.
Built for Outdoor Use
Powder-coated steel frames and weather-resistant cabinet construction across every module. The same Australian-conditions engineering as the Coleman BBQ range, so the modules age in step with the BBQ rather than dating ahead of it.
Add Modules Years Later, Still Matches
Buy a cupboard module today and a fridge module in two years, and they will sit alongside each other as if bought together. Coleman maintains the finish and dimension standards across production runs, so later additions integrate cleanly.
On Display Together
Every Coleman module sits next to the Coleman BBQ range at our Wetherill Park showroom. See the finish, height, and connection in person before you commit to a layout. Photos do not communicate scale and matching the way a showroom visit does.
Planning a Modular Kitchen Build
The questions we hear most from buyers configuring a Coleman Outdoor Modular Kitchen.
Can I install a Coleman Modular Outdoor Kitchen on a timber deck, or does it need a concrete slab?
Both surfaces work. A concrete slab is the most stable foundation and the easiest to level, which makes module installation straightforward. A timber deck works provided it is properly engineered for the combined weight of the BBQ and the modules you plan to add, with adequate ventilation underneath if a gas bottle sits in a fridge or storage module below.
Whichever surface you choose, check that it is genuinely level before any module is placed. The modular system relies on consistent height across all units and an unlevel surface will create visible gaps between modules.
Does the sink module come with plumbing, and what is involved in connecting it?
The Coleman Sink Module includes the sink bowl and tap fixtures. It does not include the supply pipes, waste pipes, or any in-ground plumbing work. A licensed plumber connects the supply to your hot or cold water line and runs the waste to an existing drainage point.
For most installations, the plumber's job is straightforward provided you have planned the position of the sink module relative to your existing water and drainage points. The cost of plumbing connection varies by site but typically runs from a few hundred dollars upwards for a simple installation.
Does the fridge module include a fridge, or do I supply my own?
You supply your own fridge. The Coleman Fridge Module is a ventilated cabinet sized for a standard outdoor-rated bar fridge, but the fridge itself is not included (which is why it is named "Fridge Module - No Fridge" in our catalogue).
The cabinet is dimensioned to accept the typical outdoor bar fridge widths and includes ventilation for safe operation. If you are picking the fridge to install, choose one specifically rated for outdoor or alfresco use. Standard indoor bar fridges are not designed to operate in outdoor temperature ranges and will fail much faster.
Do I need a particular Coleman BBQ to use the modular system, or will any of them work?
The Coleman Revolution 4-Burner, Pro Series 5-Burner, and Dual Fuel BBQ are all designed to integrate with the Outdoor Modular System at matching height and finish. The Revolution 2-Burner is a more compact freestanding unit and is not designed for the modular system in the same way.
If you are planning a modular kitchen build, the Revolution 4-Burner is the most common starting BBQ. The Pro Series 5-Burner is the upgrade pick for serious entertainers, and the Dual Fuel is the choice if you want gas plus charcoal in the same kitchen.
How much space do I need to plan for a basic modular kitchen build?
A basic build (BBQ plus one module either side) typically needs 3 to 4 metres of wall length and approximately 700 mm of depth. The mid-range build with sink, fridge cabinet, and a cupboard fits within roughly 4 to 6 metres. The full-entertainer build with corner module suits L-shaped layouts of 6 metres or more on one wall.
If your alfresco is tight on space or non-standard in shape, come into the showroom and we can talk through what configurations would actually fit. We can confirm exact module widths so you can plan around a specific area.
Can the BBQ on the modular kitchen be connected to a natural gas point instead of an LPG bottle?
Yes. Every Coleman gas BBQ in the modular range can be converted to natural gas using a Coleman conversion kit, installed by a licensed gas fitter. This is legally required in New South Wales for any gas appliance modification.
If you are building a full outdoor kitchen, hard-plumbing the BBQ to a natural gas point is the cleaner option because it removes the need for a visible gas bottle. Note that the Dual Fuel BBQ's charcoal-side gas-assist lighter cannot be converted and continues to need LPG, so a Dual Fuel build with natural gas conversion will still require an LPG connection.
Do I need to buy all the modules at once, or can I add them over time?
You can buy modules over time. The Coleman Outdoor Modular System is specifically designed for phased builds. Start with the BBQ, add one module to either side to anchor the look, then expand as the budget allows.
The single most important thing to do up front is sketch the final layout. Even if you are only buying the BBQ now, knowing where every future module will sit means you can plan the slab, the frame, and the alfresco structure to fit the eventual kitchen rather than retrofit around it. Module widths are fixed, so the final footprint is predictable once your layout is set.
Can I see a fully assembled Coleman Modular Outdoor Kitchen before buying?
Yes. The Coleman BBQ range and every Outdoor Modular Kitchen module are on display together at our Wetherill Park showroom in Sydney. Seeing the modules connected next to a Coleman BBQ is the only reliable way to judge scale, finish consistency, and how the system reads in person versus in product photos.
We are open Monday and Wednesday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm. Closed Tuesday and Sunday. Call us on 0434 010 411 if you want to plan a longer visit to walk through configuration options.
